Getting back into the swing of things

I’m a creature of habit. In December a slight wrench was thrown into my smooth schedule and I almost wondered if I’d ever get my head above water again.  Now, over two months later, I finally see the return of some sort of normalcy, and I hope it’s here to stay.

Life is changing around me, and I can’t just stand still with my eyes wide open, stunned wondering what’s going on, as I had been doing for months, if not years.

Back to the creating:
It was my good friend Julie’s birthday this past weekend. I met Julie when I opened the store. While I’m friendly with a lot of my customers, there are few of them that I would consider great friends like Julie. Don’t get me wrong, the store has built a beautiful community of people who care for each other and are there for each other, but there are few people I can honestly say I’m meant to be lifelong friends with, and Julie is one of them.

So it was her birthday, and I’m the queen of gift cards for birthdays, but I felt the need to make something too, so I knitted her a coffee sleeve, and tucked a coffee card inside.

I also got out my COPIC markers and my Rubber Romance stamps, along with loads of paint and sprays to make this card

You’re invited for tea!

teablog1
I love tea. One day I’d like to put on a big hat and go to a tea party in a garden. Eat some scones, use sugar cubes and tiny spoons, that kind of thing. :)
Stamp is Elemental Doodles colored in with COPIC.
Paper is SU and Bazzill.

Ewe are so cute

Oh, sometimes I crack myself up.
It’s late… give me a break ;)

Stamp is Pink Cat Studio – paper is BasicGrey
Colored in with COPICs. I’d like to tell you which ones exactly, but lately I’ve been all obsessive compulsive about putting everything back as soon as I’m done with it, and I haven’t the foggiest clue.

If Cosgrove were a stamp….

and I truly believe she should be. She’d probably look a little something like this:

Cupcake and all. That’s my cat right there. Round and holding baked goods.
Stamps are by Pink Cat Studio. ADORABLE SET – YOU NEED THEM.
Paper is Prima

Off to TO

I’m off in a couple of hours to Toronto. Tomorrow I’m doing the Copic Certification class. Very excited. It starts SUPER early though…. I’m going to need a BIG Timmie’s!

See you when I get back, hopefully with lots to share!
