Another super thick page, I tried to scan it, but the bottom looks all grey and shadowy. At any rate, here is my super cute cutie, being a model. We were taking photos of dog jewelry for a friend and I of course had to put her in the spotlight. Strike a pose Cosgrove!

At the Opry

A lot of people told me that they wished they hadn’t of read my last post. Next I post something that’ll cause tears, I promise to put a disclaimer first ;)
Tomorrow is a day i’m dreading for many, many reasons. I just need to make it through tomorrow, and I know I’ll be stronger for it.

Here’s a page I made, a photo of me at the Opry. I made a mess making this page which is fun. The chipboard frame is stamped and inked. The red patterned paper was sprayed with walnut ink (the paper is actually bright red and white). I embosssed the cardstock flourishes with a cuttlebug folder, the famous Swiss Dot, and then inked them up and I added a locket I found online to complete the page. Thanks for reading this far ;)

How to make a fool of yourself, 101.

Thankfully, I took all the pictures, from this long night of SingStar playing. Lots of silly, stupid, funny things were done, but since I have the photos, you’ll only see the ones of my cousin Shanna.

It’s a grey day here today. Lately I feel like there’s this little cloud following me around. I try to look past it, and around it, and most of the time I do. But on a day like today where it’s drizzling and icky, it’s hard. My wedding is exactly 198 days away. Which is awesome. It’s on the 8 year anniversary of the day we met, Halloween. We waited until Halloween was on a Sunday, and we’ve been planning and brainstorming for years. Now it’s here. The problem is, it wont be perfect, and perfect to me doesn’t mean a million dollar wedding, or a lavish dress, it’s about the people who will be there and right now my Nanny is sick. Over a month ago she stopped eating, and we have to fight with her just to get her to drink anything. My biggest fear is that she wont be there, and without her, the day will be incomplete, no matter what we do. This leaves me with a lot of guilt, because of how long we’ve been engaged and putting this off. So pray for a miracle, for her to get strength and hope, so she can be there with me. When I go visit her, I tell her about my dress and our cake, and hope that will motivate her to get well…. but things seem to be going slowly downhill.

I know, it could be worse. I realize how lucky I am, which is why I hate asking, but any positive thoughts you can send her way would be greatly appreciated.
Have a great weekend, give a loved one a hug…. it might just be the motivation they need.

Nothing broke today!

I can honestly say, that I didn’t break anything today! Yay me! I’ve been so accident prone these last couple of months (Brendan keeps reminding me about the gas cap, the front left tire, the Gypsy…) that I started to shudder each time I used a large appliance at home! Today is day one accident free!

Here’s a page I made after saying “I need to stop scrapbooking my pets, I can’t be that lady who only scrapbooks pets”… they’re just so darn cute though… anyways, my cousin is pretty cute too. We went to the Plush Factory last year and I let her pick anything she out that she wanted. It was nice to do that, because I remember people doing that for me when I was her age, and I hope in 15+ years she’ll remember this day too!

Escape

escapeblog

Lately when I scrapbook,  I seem to sit there wondering what more I can add to the page, which is resulting in things being stacked on other things, and pages being about 3 inches too thick to scan. So I took a picture of this page, and then realized “Man, that’s crooked” … being that it’s nearly 11pm and I don’t feel like reaching down to plug the camera back into my computer, this is going to be the best shot of this we get tonight :)

The paper is a newer collection from BoBunny. I just LOVE it. I used a lot of the shapes from my Gypsy Wanderings cartridge that comes pre-loaded on the Gypsy. This was actually the last page I created before my Gypsy broke…. I’ve already gone ahead and emailed Cricut. Just my luck. I’m amazed that I’ve made it through this much of life, without being struck by lightning (as I said that I actually thought about ducking under my desk here…. it could happen!)

I’d be more upset about my Gypsy, but honestly, don’t sweat the small stuff! There are people with WAY bigger problems then the fact that their Gypsy broke, and I chose to focus on the positive. I had a great day thanks to someone super cool, and I chose to focus on that! :)

There’s a funny story behind the walnut ink on this page…. bring me a coffee and maybe I’ll tell you ;)

Yeehaw!

Here’s a page I created using loads of fun, messy stuff. A picture of my first cowboy hat!

Letters are cut from cardstock, and then dusted with Perfect Pearls. Covered with Glossy Accents and embellished with pearls

Photo was sanded down to make it grungy. Photo mat is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, inked up, covered in Rock Candy Crackle paint, and then covered in ink again.

Flowers (Prima) are embellished with Tim Holtz gears, spinners and keys.

I’m off to my friend Julie’s now, to have my nails done and to scrapbook. I almost wonder if my nails should be done after we scrapbook…..

Pickles

Paper is Kaiser
Stickers are Pink Paislee - inked and Glossy Accents added to them

Shem, the baby dinosaur.

So in March someone gave me a gecko. To this day I’m still trying to figure out what I think of him. He’s not soft, not furry, doesn’t cuddle or do tricks. He spends most of the day quite still and avoids my hands at all costs. Not my idea of a pet, but he is low maintenance, and inexpensive to care for, which is a plus. He’s still young too, I’ve been told to give him time, but like a child I want him to be my best friend, and I want it now.

Here’s a page, with a picture taken a few weeks after I received him – he’s about the size of my thumb…

Paper is Scenic Route, BasicGrey
Stamps: SU
Pearls: BasicGrey
Alphabet: Rose Moka

Another lumpy page by Ms Star…

berrysweetbl

This page isn’t half as crooked as this scan makes it out to be. I added far too many pearls and rhinestones (I know, I know… impossible) and it just wouldn’t scan… you’ll have to take my word for it!
Stamps: Elemental Doodles
Paper, rhinestones, pearls, alpha: BasicGrey (again… seriously someone take this stuff away from me)

Cuddle

Normally I scan in my pages, but I made this one quite thick… and I could picture my scanner making it all wonky and crooked… so I didn’t even bother.
Patterned Paper, alpha, journaling blocks: BasicGrey
Flowers are from my stash, mostly Prima I would bet, a couple of Making Memories.

Thanks for looking and Happy Fourth of July to those in the USA!
