Getting back into the swing of things

I’m a creature of habit. In December a slight wrench was thrown into my smooth schedule and I almost wondered if I’d ever get my head above water again.  Now, over two months later, I finally see the return of some sort of normalcy, and I hope it’s here to stay.

Life is changing around me, and I can’t just stand still with my eyes wide open, stunned wondering what’s going on, as I had been doing for months, if not years.

Back to the creating:
It was my good friend Julie’s birthday this past weekend. I met Julie when I opened the store. While I’m friendly with a lot of my customers, there are few of them that I would consider great friends like Julie. Don’t get me wrong, the store has built a beautiful community of people who care for each other and are there for each other, but there are few people I can honestly say I’m meant to be lifelong friends with, and Julie is one of them.

So it was her birthday, and I’m the queen of gift cards for birthdays, but I felt the need to make something too, so I knitted her a coffee sleeve, and tucked a coffee card inside.

I also got out my COPIC markers and my Rubber Romance stamps, along with loads of paint and sprays to make this card
